The Blevins shoot was this weekend, wonderful people and some very interesting items were brought for display, show and tell, and to sell. In particular a nice grouping of papa nambus, a minty single barrel flare pistol, a propellor blade reportedly from a downed zero, and several interesting and rare rifles were on display. Riceone and 03Man tried to blow up a trainer, to no avail, the sucker was stronger than their loads. A local Veteran (Ed Ringer) came and spoke on Friday, told us about his tour and the rifle and bayonet he brought back, a Kokura 23rd series Type 99 (no rod or pod) and Tokyo Arsenal Bayonet that he was issued in Nagasaki, we fixed him up with a rod, and a box of ammo, gave him some extra ammo so he could shoot his rifle for the first time! There was a brief seminar on Jinsen arsenal production and lots of shooting (weapons and bs). I'll try and post some pictures as they come in. Trey _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!

I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon! |
