The TMCA (Tennessee Military Collectors Association) Show is Friday and Saturday, my Dad and I will be there. This is a quality show, chock full of old militaria. Hope to see you there. Click here for More TMCA Show info

I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon!

The show was awesome as usual, had I been paying attention, I could have ended up with:
a Japanese contract 1910 browning holster
Type 88 fuse box filled with goodies
Toyo Kogyo Type 99 long with ALL goodies including proper monopod
child's trainer bayonet frog
.50 cal japanese ammunition
child's trainer with rod!
and others.

As it was, I only got a $25 fug-ugly parts Type 38, a nice box of 7.7 ammo from Mark/Steve, the big-o-book-o-swards (Jim Dawson's Sword book) and this little pearl....

Preliminary translation:
...you have a fabulously written up handkerchief given to a Corporal Kuribayashi, from all his comrades at the Atsugi Naval Air Base. Many names from the air units, slogans and poem, and looks like this was a farewell gift.......
My thanks to the translator, Edoko!
