Joel,
Your Chigusa 3.5 is very nice. I need some information from you if possible. Does the magazine match the pistol? If so, I need a close-up of the magazine inspection marks (like your image of the serial number area). I also need a close-up of the inspection mark on the left side frame flat area. This information is to verify inspection marks for the magazine production period and the arsenal performing the 1932 Type 14 recall work on this gun. Thanks.
Dan Larkin
PS: Rob, my old/your new T94 12.12 looks real nice with the accoutrement goodies. |

Thanks Dan. Joel, that is a very nice Nagoya! The holster does look like one of those replacements I mentioned earlier. |

Gentlemen,
Sorry my battery died in my camera this morning. My magazine is maker marked with the small "window pane" and "Pentagon" marks. Also stamped with the proper matching serial number of "584".
Regards,

Joel,
Thanks for the mag mark close-ups. They are as expected for this production period. Please also ID your left side frame flat mark in the B position. It may be "TO" for Tokyo.

Dan et al, thank you all for your help and guidance. Here is an attempt to get a close-up of the inspection mark in the "B" position.
I was looking at "Terri's Nambu World" link and from what I can dicypher, it looks to be to "TO" stamp for Toyko. I could be wrong. Your help is always appreciated.
Regards,
Joel

Gentlemen,
Just to make sure... I broke down the gun and all of the components are matching with the exception of the backside of the cocking knob having a different number. All said and done are we still accurate with the value being around $800.00 and upwards for the rig? Thanks in advance for your imput?
Regards,

I'll let Dan chime in about the value for sure, I think it is pretty common for the cocking knob to be a replacement, I've noticed quite a few of the early style knobs that have been replaced or that seem to be splitting where the notch of the firing pin spring guide locks into the cocking knob. I think the condition of your pistol will offset some of the decrease for the replaced knob. Trey _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!

I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon! |

Gentlemen, thank you for all your help.. After further review, it seems that my pistol is deemed a "Tokyo" refurbished model. Am I correct?

Joel,
Yes, the "B" position mark is "TO" which signifies that the pistol was rebuilt at the Tokyo arsenal. The work was likely done during the 1932 recall, but, it could also have been done later.

Gentlemen, One last question if I may? With the modifications and the given condition of this firearm and holster what would be the perceived value of this rig? I just want to make sure my investment was a good one. LOL!

Guys,
Just checking in to see if there has been increased value on these as of late?
