Hello all,
Just found this site after googling around. I recently acquired a Papa Nambu and a Japanese sword from a friend who's dad was in the Marine's in WWII. The Nambu is in decent shape, although the grips are a little deteriorated but overall I think in good condition. The sword has a leather sheath over the wooden scabbard which I hear was to protect the wood from the moisture in the south pacific?
I know nothing about the history or back story on these items and would love some feedback on them. I will post up pics later today.
I reached out to a Teri Bryant at the University of Calgary who seems to be into these types of weapons but I have not heard back from her.
Thanks for the add and hope to participate here often! |

Welcome aboard, post pictures when you get a chance, Teri Jane is pretty busy, but I'm sure she'll get back to you! Trey _________________ Subscribe to BANZAI!
Fill out a Japanese Rifle Datasheet.
I didn't pay to much for that old Arisaka, I just bought it a little bit too soon! |
